Government: Clear promotion of OAS officers

BHUBANESWAR: The State Government has requested the Centre to clear the promotion of 18 officers of the Orissa Administrative Service (OAS) to Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Even though the State Government has recommended the names of OAS officers for promotion to IAS long back, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) in the Ministry of Personnel is yet to notify the names of the selected officers. Sources said that a fresh request is made to DoPT to notify the names of the OAS officers who have been selected for the IAS.
