VILLUPURAM: Police registered a fresh criminal case against PMK founder S Ramadoss, based on a complaint lodged by Mayakrishnan, an assistant professor working at Arts College run by the Vanniyar Educational Trust at Konerikuppam, near Tindivanam. Mayakrishnan said in the complaint that on instructions from Ramadoss, director of the trust, Harinarayanan and office staff Venkatesan attacked him. Acting on the complaint, police registered criminal intimidation case against three persons including Ramadoss.PMK’s deputy general secretary Senthamizh Selvan and Gingee MLA Ganesh Kumar, along with party cadre thronged Olakkur police station and urged for withdrawal of the case. They said that if the case is not withdrawn, they would intensify the stir. Late on Thursday, two complaints from the college side against Mayakrishnan were lodged at the same police station. Mamallan, a staff of the college, said in his complaint that Mayakrishnan instigated groupism among students and threatened him when he asked about this. A student of the college, Patcha also lodged a complaint against Mayakrishnan. The student said that Mayakrishnan showed partiality among students threatened him if he did not follow his instruction to spread hostility among students.Meanwhile in Chennai, urging the State government to close a First Information Report filed against Ramadoss, party president GK Mani on Thursday said that the FIR was based on a complaint that was “false and triggered by political vendetta.” Mani said that the Trust staffer lodged a complaint as he was about to be dismissed from service.
