I If you really shop till you drop at Ramee Mall, there is an easy way to rejuvenate yourself and tend to your aching feet. Just visit Anushka’s Salon and Spa, launched recently in the mall.

As you enter the plush brightly-lit salon, you know you are in for a treat. The neatly-stacked hair care products, the scent of aromatic oils and a couple of huge mirrors are so inviting that you may spend more here than on your shopping spree. Further down the space are little rooms for customers to relax and get their body treatments done. Then there are those huge comfy chairs, right before the rooms, where one can sink in and relax.

Speaking to City Express, Shibani Vasundran, owner, Anushka’s Salon and Spa, says, “We don’t usually find a salon in a mall here. The idea is to help shoppers relax. They can also take a shower if they please, at our salon. It’s just to make their shopping experience refreshing.”

Ask her what’s special about this outlet, she says, “We have a special reflexology lounge, a wide range of body treatments and bridal packages.”

With its swankily-designed interiors, it isn’t hard to figure this salon is meant for top-end clients from previous branches. “The pressure on us is immense,” she says and continues, “We have to live up to the expectations of our clients.”

The salon, which promises finest bridal packages, is located in the first level. Shibani says, “As soon as the bride is ready to leave, she can just step out of the salon and walk into the elevator, situated closely, without being stared at.”

The salon was launched by cine actor Karthi Sivakumar.
