New Delhi: While most of the new Facebook features have been targeted towards user profiles, they have also slipped in a goodie for Pages. Called Friend Activity, it lets users visiting a Page on Facebook know how their friends are interacting with that Page on Facebook.
Facebook has added a Friend Activity link as a tab on the left navigation in Pages. The Friend Activity link will also display a number along with to indicate whether any of a user's friends have interacted with a particular page.
Other recent additions by Facebook include Smart Lists, a revamped News Feed and a Ticker. The recently introduced Subscribe Button, seems to be an effort on the part of Facebook to discourage the use of Pages for individuals. Since Facebook has a limit for 5000 friends per user, many celebrities opted for pages to reach a larger audience. Now with the Subscribe Button and unlimited number of people can subscribe to their public updates, without them having to take the Page detour.
