London: Indian cinema's evergreen star Dev Anand has been invited by the BBC Asian Network for an interview July 7.
Known Indian-born compere Sonia Deol will conduct the interview at London's Radio Theatre.
In his career spanning more than six decades, the 84-year-old thespian delivered hits like Ziddi, Taxi Driver, Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai, Tere Ghar Ke Samne, Guide, Johnny Mera Naam, Hare Rama Hare Krishna and Jewel Thief.
Dev Anand has also played a crucial role in bringing new faces to the celluloid. He introduced Zeenat Aman as the mini-skirt sporting, pot-smoking girl in his directorial venture Hare Rama Hare Krishna and post the film she became an overnight sensation.
Another new face that the legend brought to the showbiz was Tina Munim.
Both the actresses enjoyed a very successful stint in Bollywood.
He is also renowned as a story teller recalling his remarkable career in films and the stars he has worked with.
The network is operating a random draw this time for tickets for the recording. Those who are interested can enter the random draw at any time until 12 noon Thursday. The winners can watch the recording and get the opportunity to talk to Dev Anand at the end of the interview, the network says on its site.
