ALUVA: Two shop owners in Angamaly and Piravom, who employed boys aged around 13, were arrested on Tuesday by a police team led by Vanitha Cell Circle Inspector C N Radhamany.The shop was raided on the instruction of Aluva District Crime Records Bureau Deputy SP Benny Thomas.The shop owners said that the boys were above 18 years of age. However, it was revealed that the certificates proving the age of the kids were forged.The police said that a racket was behind the supply of children to shops for a huge sum of money. The members of the racket were also capable of forging age certificates. Civil police officers Pauly, Ashraf Muhammed, Hilmath and Naiju assisted CI Radhamani. The rescued children have been sheltered in juvenile homes.
