Moin and the Monster is a delightful children's story about, no prizes for guessing - Moin and his monster. Why his monster? Well, according to the Monster Rules, if a person draws a monster into being, then they're bound together for life.

Moin's little monster isn't too pleased with the kid's drawing abilities, because he ends up looking cuter and less fierce than he would like.

But Moin isn't too pleased with the whole arrangement either, as he stresses out trying to keep the monster's existence a secret. A couple of friends help out, but will parents and other grown-ups find out?! Read on. This one’s a pleasure to go through.

Meant for kids above the age of six, the story would make quite a few parents chuckle too. Author Anushka Ravishankar told CNN-IBN that one could "look through the entire book and not find a moral lesson"! Phew, sparing us the overbearing preaching there. Anushka’s emphasis was on letting the characters have some fun, and enjoying the ride.
