A vegetable trader was on Monday allegedly robbed of Rs 8 lakh by two bike-borne youths in front of a local bank in Kanpur's Mall road area, police said.
The incident took place when Nikhil Arora, hailing from Punjab, was coming out of the bank with the cash inside a bag, when the two-bike borne assailants snatched it from him, they said.
An FIR has been lodged in the case and heavy police has been deployed at check posts to nab the robbers, police said.
