Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday laid foundation stone for six development projects worth over Rs 2,200 crores in Lucknow.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Yadav said with the launch of new projects, direct and indirect job opportunities would be available to youths in the state.
"Our government is committed for the cause of common man and has launched a number of projects in its around two-year regime," he said.
The projects inaugurated by the Chief Minister at a function in Lucknow included an ultra-modern township at Chak Gajaria farm at Sultanpur road, an international stadium-cum -multi-utility sports complex, beautification and development of Gomti river banks and construction of underpass leading to Gyaneshwar park in Gomti Nagar.
The ultra-modern city, spread in 840 acres would have an IT city, a modern milk processing dairy plant, Indian Institute of Information technology besides administrative- cum-training institute building.
