Bhubaneswar: A local court in Cuttack today sentenced a man to rigorous imprisonment (RI) for seven years with a penalty of Rs 5,000 after convicting him in a fake currency note case.

The state Crime Branch had arrested Biswak and he was jailed after 16 fake currency notes of Rs 500 denomination and 20 fake notes of Rs 1,000 denomination was seized from his house at Chandradeipur village under Salipur police station area in Cuttack district and a case was registered against his name on September, 2012.
