7 injured in Baramulla grenade attack

Srinagar: At least seven people were injured in a grenade attack by terrorists in Sopore area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, officials said.

The terrorists hurled a grenade at a police station at Bugoo in Sopore area around 10:20 am that exploded on the roadside, officials said.

All the seven injured in the explosion were civilians.

Senior police officers visited the spot as security forces searched the area around the explosion site.

However, the intended target of the attack was not immediately known and no group has claimed responsibility for the explosion, the officials said.
