The railway police recovered the body and sent it to Vellore Government Medical College Hospital for post mortem.The autopsy divulged that Vinayagam was strangulated. Following that, the Railway police transferred the case to Katpadi police. On suspicion, the police picked up the trio for inquiry. The trio reportedly confessed to crime.
