Milan: The agent of AC Milan defender Thiago Silva has said his client is fully committed to the Serie A champions.
The Brazil international was strongly linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer transfer window after claiming he had had contact with officials from the Catalan club.
Later that week, Thiago Silva retracted his comments and assured nothing concrete from Barcelona had arrived at his desk.
The player's agent has now suggested that the Liga giants did have an interest in his client, but stressed the 26-year-old is happy with life at the San Siro.
"Barcelona were mentioned in the summer and we are very happy that Barca follow him, since they are the strongest team in the world," Thiago Silva's agent Paulo Tonietto told calciomercato.
"It is normal that the best clubs are interested in the best players. He is happy at AC Milan and he recently renewed his contract until 2016."
