Karan Kundrra recently visited New Delhi to inaugurate a Roadies-themed gym when she spoke exclusively to News18 Showsha and shared his mantra of a healthy lifestyle. The former Bigg Boss contestant talked about how the idea is not to have a chiselled body with six-pack abs but to remain fit. “I love food and people around me love food. The idea is not always having a chiselled body or being camera-ready. You have to have a healthy body. When you get a project, you always get two to three months to prepare for it. It is ideal for you to have a healthy lifestyle, and eat well," he said.
However, Karan also admitted that the showbiz industry has specific standards for an actor’s appearance. The actor confessed that it does bother him at times but added that he strongly believes in keeping an active lifestyle. He shared that apart from consuming a balanced diet, one should also take part in some physical activity or other to maintain a ‘standardised body’ which can then be worked upon depending upon the project.
“I have been around for a while. If you are a director or if you visualise a project or an actor, what happens is you sit and discuss that you want this character to look like this. They are anyway going to ask you to change your physicality. Keep a standardised body. When needed, change accordingly. Otherwise, maintain a good diet, workout regularly and be active. That is very important. It is not just about going to the gym. There’s trekking, walking, swimming, running, playing sports," he told us.
Karan Kundrra also shared that he makes sure to add ghee to his diet because he thinks that it is very important for our body. “I believe ghee is very fit," he said.
Further talking about the Roadies-based gym, the actor explained, “Roadies has been there for 20 years or more. It resonates with toughness and health. It resonates with the lifestyle of being active, being healthy. Roadies now transcend from being on television to an experience when you are going to a gym. There are so many principles in Roadies, it (the gym) encapsulates all of the things. It has a fitness place, health place, nutrition place."
Karan was also joined by the founder of the gum Neeraj Singhal who added, “Roadies Gym is set to redefine the fitness experience".
