Candidates who are looking forward to taking admission in engineering, medicine, or pharmacy courses must know that numerous national and state-level undergraduate entrance exams will begin accepting applications in January 2024. While the JEE Main Session 1 registration has already concluded and the exams for the same will begin on January 24, the application window for CUET PG began on December 26, 2023.
Here is the list of exams along with their registrations start and end dates including the dates of the examination.
NEET UG 2024
NEET UG is the sole undergraduate medical entrance examination in the country conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for candidates seeking admission to courses like MBBS and BDS. The NEET UG 2024 is scheduled to take place on May 5 and the application process is expected to start towards the end of January. BITSAT 2024
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) conducts the BITS Aptitude Test (BITSAT) to choose candidates for admission to its bachelor’s programs. The application window for BITSAT 2024 exams is expected to begin in January. Details regarding the same will be updated by the first week of January 2024, according to an announcement on the BITSAT website.
CUET UG 2024
The upcoming Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) is scheduled to be conducted from May 15 to May 31, 2024, to shortlist candidates for admission to central universities and many state universities across the country. The registration process for CUET UG is likely to commence in the month of January. However, the start date is yet to be announced by the commission.
MHT CET 2024
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) scores are utilized for admission to engineering and medical colleges in the state. MHT CET 2024 examination will take place from April 16 to May 5, 2024. For additional information, candidates are advised to visit the official website at cetcell.mahacet.org.
APEAMCET 2024
AP EAMCET is conducted to shortlist candidates for admission to engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture programmes in the colleges of Andhra Pradesh. The application process for the same is expected to start this month. However, the exam conducting body has not yet announced the exam dates.
KCET 2024
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KECT). It is an eligibility test to select candidates for admission to engineering, veterinary and pharmacy colleges of the state. KCET will be conducted from April 20 to April 21, 2024. The application window will likely start soon in the month of January.
JEE Main Session 2 2024
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is the single bi-annual entrance exam at the Class 12 level. The application process for the first session is closed and the JEE Main Session-1 exam will run from January 24 to February 1. Registration for JEE Main 2024 application for the second session will open on February 2 and will culminate on March 2, 2024.
GUJCET 2024
The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2024 registration process began on January 2 on the official website at gseb.org. The exam features 120 multiple-choice questions from subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics. One mark is given for each correct answer and 0.25 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. Students will have to pay an exam fee of Rs 350 to apply for the test.
In addition to that, there are several other entrance tests for admission to UG courses including WBJEE, JEECUP, and OJEE for admission to engineering courses in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Odisha respectively. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has commenced the application process for the WBJEE 2024 on December 28 at wbjeeb.nic.in. The last date to apply is January 31. The exam will be held on April 28.
