Actress Bhanu made her Tamil film debut in Thaamirabharani, directed by Hari, where she starred alongside actor Vishal. She predominantly works in Tamil and Malayalam film and television industry. Born as Elsa George in Kerala, the actor was known by the name Muktha in Malayalam films and adopted the name Bhanu for the Tamil film industry.

After facing setbacks in successive films, she started working in the Malayalam cinema. She has acted in Tamil films such as Azhagar Malai, Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga, Manthrikan, and more. She later played the character of a strong-willed woman in films like Puthumugangal Thevai and Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal.

Actress Bhanu married businessman Rinku Tomy and the couple welcomed a daughter named Kiara. Bhanu decided to prioritise her family and personal life, stepping back from her acting career. While she was away from the limelight, her fans continued to appreciate her memorable performances from previous films.
