After winning the first two matches of the campaign, New Zealand are riding high on confidence and the return of Kane Williamson will only boost their morale as they face Bangladesh in Chepauk, Chennai.
In the middle of the pitch, the toss was called. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first.

The Kiwis have played dominant cricket in their first two matches and are currently sit at the top of the points table with a NRR of +2.360. To make things sweeter, stalwart skipper Kane Williamson is expected to return to the side after a long injury lay-off to make his first appearance in this edition of the World Cup.
Following a tough drawn out win against Afghanistan in their opener, and a disastrous loss to defending champions England previously, Bangladesh will be desperate to get their rhythm going, if they are to compete for the World Cup.

Captain’s Comments:
Kane Williamson (NZ): We will bowl first, think its a good surface. Nice to take part in those warm-up games and nice to be standing here. I am coming for Will Young.
Shakib Al Hasan (BAN): Was a bit confused (about what to do), but we don’t mind batting first. We didn’t start well with bat and ball in the last 2 games and these are the two areas we are looking to improve.
