WWE RAW Results: Seth Rollins Retains World Heavyweight Championship; Judgement Day Beats Awesome Truth
World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins retained his title over Jinder Mahal on Monday Night Raw.

The latest episode of Monday Night RAW, aired on January 15, opened with a special segment paying tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr at the Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock. Wrestling fans had been eagerly looking forward to the show since the World Heavyweight Championship match was announced. Many anticipated that they would see a new title holder. However, Seth “Freakin” Rollins did not let that happen and defended the championship successfully against Jinder Mahal.

The Judgement Day competed in two matches. First, they took on DIY before going head-to-head against The Awesome Truth featuring The Miz and R-Truth. The roster of this Monday further included some exciting battles. Let’s take a look at the results of those fights—

DIY vs The Judgement Day:

From the Judgement Day, JD McDonagh first took over the charge, clashing against Gargano. The duo traded some strikes before Ciampa came in and landed a dive off the apron. Mysterio was tagged in early and went hard on Gargano, forcing a four-way brawl. While McDonagh attacked Ciampa with a moonsault, Gargano came in his support and countered it with a superkick. In the end, Gargano and Ciampa used the Meet in the Middle on McDonagh to pick up the win.

Chelsea Green & Piper Niven vs Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell:

The pair of Niven and Green started well as they launched a shoulder breaker on Hartwell. Niven tried to follow it up with a Vader Bomb but missed it. As she was struggling to find momentum, Hartwell called up LaRae, who kicked off the fight with a senton on Niven. She ultimately came up with a springboard moonsault to seal the deal.

Xavier Woods vs Ludwig Kaiser:

Kaiser was smashed into the corner early on but managed to bounce back with a knee strike. Then he trapped Woods and used a running dropkick. Woods was badly injured but it didn’t stop Kaiser. He tried to throw a chair at Woods, who somehow dodged it. The referee finally called off the match after Woods was disqualified for picking up a desk chair.

Akira Tozawa vs Ivar:

Maxxine Dupri was there to assist Akira Tozawa, while Valhalla supported Ivar, who made a roaring start to the fight. Tozawa countered with a DDT before landing a modified tour of the islands. Dupri tried to distract Ivar, while Tozawa came up with a sunset flip powerbomb to secure the victory.

The Awesome Truth vs The Judgement Day:

As soon as the bell rang, Finn Balor attacked R-Truth, though the duo decided not to hurt each other. Damian Priest was tagged in early and received a chinbreaker. Truth tried to attack Priest from behind but was caught red-handed. The duo then engaged in a brutal fight before Priest won the match via pinfall.

Natalya & Tegan Nox vs. Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark:

Stark began the match with a superkick on Nox, while Baszler tried to save her partner with a leaping stomp. She then targeted Nox’s arm before Natalya was tagged in. Nox bounced back in style with a roaring European uppercut. In the end, Baszler locked Natalya in the Krifuda Clutch for a tap-out and registered the victory.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship– Seth Rollins vs Jinder Mahal:

Jinder Mahal made a dominant start as he seemed quite desperate to clinch the title. However, Rollins didn’t take much time to turn the table with the Pedigree, followed by a splash. The other members of the Indus Sher were there to assist Mahal and tried to cause distraction. Mahal landed the Kallus on Rollins, who managed to duck it. The champions then landed the Stopm to retain the title.
