Who Do You Think I Am?' Drew McIntyre Mocks CM Punk For Missing WrestleMania 40

WWE superstar Drew McIntyre has mocked CM Punk on the latest episode of RAW for missing WrestleMania 40.

McIntyre won the six-man Elimination Chamber match on February 24. It earned him a title shot against Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

As WWE returned to RAW after the chamber, McIntyre uploaded a video on X in which he could be heard saying, “I was talking with the doctor and he looked at me and told me ‘Drew you’re hurt, there’s a chance you might not make WrestleMania.” McIntyre then followed up by saying, “And I looked at him and said, ‘Who do you think I am? CM Punk? Nothing’s gonna stop me from making Mania.”

After the initial sequence, Drew McIntyre took a seat inside the ring, similar to CM Punk’s style when delivering pipebombs.

After a loud jeer from the crowd, McIntyre went on to taunt the Chicago-based wrestler by saying, “Yo Punk, I know it hurt you not to be a part of Chamber, it hurt you, really hurt you not to be a part of WrestleMania and it probably kills you to see me in the world title match.”

McIntyre then said that he had done something special for Punk, considering that he wouldn’t be competing at the year’s biggest event. “But I want you to know I thought about you after that match and I wanted to do something special just for you. I know you’re straight-edge, I know you don’t drink. So on the way home, I drank twice as much for both of us to celebrate,” McIntyre concluded.

Drew McIntyre was able to seal his WrestleMania spot over the likes of LA Knight, Kevin Owens, Logan Paul, Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton. McIntyre picked up the first elimination of the night as he took out Lashley with a claymore kick. Next, Knight was eliminated after being attacked by AJ Styles in the match. Orton was able to remove Owens from the action before landing an RKO on Paul for another elimination. The Viper was able to connect with another RKO on McIntyre but then got knocked out cold by a brass knuckle shot from Paul. This helped McIntyre pin Orton for a Chamber victory.

Speaking of CM Punk, the Chicago-based wrestler shocked the WWE universe after making an earth-shattering return at Survivor Series 2023. He competed in his first match for the company at WWE Royal Rumble where he lost to Cody Rhodes in the men’s battle royal, missing out on a title shot at WrestleMania 40. He later cut a promo on WWE RAW where he congratulated Rhodes on earning his title shot and hoped that he finished his story. He confirmed on the episode that while competing in the Rumble, Punk had torn his right tricep and would not be competing at the mega show.
