More "retaliatory operations" against top government officials were being planned.
The Taliban said Wednesday its fighters had carried out a deadly attack in Kabul targeting the Afghan defence minister, and warned of more assaults against top government officials.
“Last night a martyrdom attack was carried out on the defence minister’s residence,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement, adding that more “retaliatory operations” against top government officials were being planned.
