Chilean cheats death at Paris concert, three others killed
The foreign ministry in Santiago named one of the dead as Luis Felipe Zschoche Valle, a professional musician who had lived in the French capital for nearly a decade with his French partner.

Santiago: Three Chileans were among more than 80 people killed at a rock concert targeted in the Paris attacks, while a fourth described Saturday how a gunman pointed right at him before letting him go.

The foreign ministry in Santiago named one of the dead as Luis Felipe Zschoche Valle, a professional musician who had lived in the French capital for nearly a decade with his French partner. Her whereabouts were unknown.

The two other Chilean victims in the bloodshed on Friday evening at the Bataclan concert hall, where American band Eagles of Death Metal were playing, were named as Patricia San Martin, 55, and her daughter Elsa Delplace, said the ministry and Senator Isabel Allende.

David Fritz Goettinger, 23, described how escaped with his life at the historic concert hall after going to the toilet and then telling a gunman that he was Chilean and not French.

"The terrorists got there and opened fire all over the place," Fritz Goettinger told Chilevision from Paris, where he lives.

"It was kind of like an earthquake, they were firing all over the place, there were explosions and shots."

"I'd gone to the bathroom and I came out and could tell something bad happened," he said.

"The music from the show had stopped so I went to talk with my friend and ask what happened. And then I saw dead people."

A gunman pointed directly at him but did not fire, Goettinger added. He told police he was asked by one of the gunmen if he believed in God, and he said he did. He was asked if he was French, and he said he was Chilean.

He was let go.

"So then we hid, first we crawled along the floor to find somewhere to hide, and I got stuck somewhere on the second floor," he recalled, adding: "I'm tired. I am in shock."
