The Ministry of Home Affairs declared Canada-based gangster and member of the Khalistani group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), Goldy Brar as a terrorist, in a notification issued by the MHA on Monday.
As per the notification, Brar backed by cross border agency was involved in multiple killing and has been known to hold radical ideology, figured in making threatening calls to pro-nationalist leaders, demanding ransom and posting the claims of killings on different social media platforms.
The release further stated, Goldy Brar aka Satinderjit Singh and his associates have been ‘conspiring to disrupt the peace, communal harmony and law and order in the State of Punjab through nefarious designs including sabotage, raising of terror modules, carrying out targeted killings, and other anti-national activities.’
“The Central Government believes that Satinderjit Singh or Goldy Brar is involved in terrorism and the said is to be added as a terrorist in the Fourth Schedule to the said Act; namely the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967”, the notification added.
WHO IS GANGSTER GOLDY BRAR?
Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar was the alleged mastermind behind the murder of the Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala and was included in the most-wanted list in Canada.
The name of Satinderjit Singh Brar alias Goldy Brar has been included among the 25 most wanted persons under the BOLO (Be on the Lookout) program of Canada.
Earlier, BOLO program director Max Langlois, while releasing the photos of all the 25 fugitives, said that anyone sharing information regarding the fugitives will receive a reward ranging from $50,000 to $250,000.
Satinderjeet Singh, alias Brar, a native of Sri Muktsar Sahib in Punjab, had gone to Canada on a student visa in 2017 and is an active member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
