Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, has once again delighted his audience with his latest challenge. The 25-year-old YouTuber, known for his philanthropic work, has returned to a grand-scale project. His newest video is very similar to the one he shared 10 months ago, featuring 100 contestants kept inside cabins, between the ages of 1 to 100.
Unlike previous challenges, this time, contestants will choose who among them deserves the grand prize of $250,000 (approximately Rs 2 Crore). The 40-minute video offers thrills and emotional moments, as few shared heart-wrenching stories, while others were seen plotting against other participants. When Jimmy introduced Howie Mandel, the host of Deal or No Deal, it left contestants over 40 years of age excited.
Within 24 hours of its release, the video titled, ‘Ages 1 – 100 Decide Who Wins $250,000’ has already garnered over 5 million views on YouTube. Of the 100 people who entered the challenge, six were eliminated within the first minute. This group primarily included young children and a few elderly individuals, who voluntarily chose to exit the game. Before starting the challenge, Jimmy says, “This challenge is about making friendships and convincing people to like you. They decide who wins the 250 grand and I didn’t know it yet, but this video was by far the most intense video we’ve ever filmed."
As the game began, Jimmy Donaldson announced a crucial task, “In the next 10 minutes, I need 10 of you to leave." It was up to the group to encourage others to leave or else 25 people would be randomly eliminated by the MrBeast team. Despite efforts to convince participants, initially, no one left. However, a 7-year-old influenced a 6-year-old to exit by promising him a Roblox game. Later, an 89-year-old woman also chose to take a voluntary exit. Unfortunately, only two contestants chose to leave out of 10. As a result, Jimmy with his friend Chandler eliminated 25 contestants as per the rules.
As the video progressed, numerous contestants exited the game voluntarily, while others were eliminated during various challenges. Amid the tense atmosphere, Jimmy introduced Howie Mandel for a game similar to Deal or No Deal. The YouTuber explains the rules, stating that among the 18 briefcases, half say ‘eliminated’ and half are ‘safe.’
Contestants will open the chosen briefcase, and the other person is given the option to either steal the briefcase or choose to opt-out. If they choose to steal, they’ll have to follow the instructions inside the stolen briefcase. However, if they opt not to steal, the person holding the briefcase will be either eliminated or saved, depending on the result in the box.
In the end, the final 5 contestants choose each other’s fate with an impromptu game, according to which, number 47 took home the grand prize of $250,000 (approximately Rs 2 Crore).
