The five-time Premier League winners, Chelsea have announced the signing of the Portuguese winger, Pedro Neto to the club. He has signed with the club on a seven-year deal after making the move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Neto began his career with the Portuguese club, Braga where he began to make his mark after making his first-team debut in May 2017, scoring in a 4-0 win over Nacional. He became the club’s third-youngest scorer in history at 17 years two months and five days.

Following his stint with Braga he moved to the Italian side, Lazio on a two-year deal where he won the Coppa Italia in 2019. After the move was made permanent he made his first steps to England where he signed for Wolves in August 2019.

The 24-year-old went on to make 135 appearances for the club and contributed 11 goals in the 20 Premier League appearances he made last season. Following his time at the Molineux, he has gone on to become a regular with the Portugal national side with ten caps. He also featured during the Euro 2024.
Chelsea will look to get back at the top after a disastrous season last year where they finished sixth and were unable to secure a spot in the Europa League after Manchester United’s FA Cup victory which has resulted in the London-based club being demoted to the UEFA Conference League where their survival will be based on the results during the playoffs.

The Blues will hope that the additions to their squad along with the new manager, Enzo Maresca will ensure that the club get back in contention of being title contenders.
The London-based club have already made a few signings. Marc Guiu, the striker from Barcelona, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, the midfielder from Leicester City, Filip Jørgensen, the goalkeeper from Villareal among many others to bolster the squad.
Chelsea will begin their season with their first game against the Premier League champions Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, August 18.
