Generally, at a school, there are stories of fights and beefs between students, that sometimes lead to rustications and even news headlines. But the situation is opposite at this school in Madhya Pradesh, where two teachers got into a physical altercation.
According to Local18, the incident took place in Gwalior, at the Government Secondary School Adupura. The teachers Vidya Raturi and Shishupal Singh Jadaun, were at odds with each other over a grave matter. The tension between the two escalated so much, that it led to a physical fight, added the reports. The situation got so bad that the other teachers were too shocked to intervene with the two and it only got worse. The female teacher accused the male of recording her in the washroom, leading to a dispute, the reports further state.
After the video of the fight went viral, one of the teachers decided to complain with the higher police officials. The students reportedly shared the video on Facebook, through which it gained even more attention. As per reports, the media attempted to get more information on the matter from the education department, but no one seemed ready to break their silence. This silence of the department has made the situation even more serious.
The reports added that the incident took place on a Wednesday morning when Shishupal was accused by Vidya of following her to the washroom and making a video. According to Vidya, the students have informed them the male teachers make secret videos from outside. She added, “In case a teacher gets late by a few minutes, they insult us in front of the students.”
The viral video seems to be a short Instagram live, which captured the argument as well as the fight between the teachers. It starts with the teachers in a heated argument with each other, the female teacher even confronts the person recording the video. It then reveals two educators ready to beat each other, on the stairs. Shishupal then shows his bleeding nose to the camera saying, “Inhone pehle mujhe kyu mara? (Why did she hit me first?)” To this, Vidya retorts, “Jhoota (Liar).” According to Alok Singh Bhadauria, Siroli station in-charge, complaints have been filed by both parties and action is expected to be taken.
