Watch: Couple Spotted Cuddling At MCG During Australia-Pakistan Boxing Day Test
The couple got embarrassed at MCG after the broadcaster's camera captured them cuddling in the stands.

A couple was captured sharing a romantic moment in the stands of the Melbourne Cricket Ground where a Boxing Day Test between Australia and Pakistan is underway. The crowd at the MCG is recognised for their unparalleled excitement and active involvement in the game. On Day 3 of the ongoing match, a boy was spotted cuddling with a girl, who was lying on his lap. As soon as the moment was shown on the giant screen, the couple was evidently embarrassed. The girl immediately hid her face and the boy left his seat while waving at the camera. However, the other fans went on to embrace the cute moment with loud cheers.

A clip of the event was shared on X (formerly Twitter) and took no time to become viral. After the post surfaced on the internet, fans were quick to highlight the enthusiasm among the Australian crowd. One user commented, “That says right when they say Australia is the best place to watch cricket.”

Another fan dropped a hilarious meme reference to the cameraman who was able to shoot the cuddling couple.

A fan did not find “anything wrong” in the viral footage.

On the same day of the MCG Test, Pakistani cricketer Hasan Ali was spotted entertaining the crowd while fielding near the boundary line. During a break between overs, Ali was stretching his arms. The MCG crowd found his warm-up quite groovy and went on to imitate the steps. As soon as Ali realised what was happening behind him, he suddenly broke into an emphatic dance. The Australian fans did not refrain from copying his moves. In the end, Ali was seen applauding the crowd for their efforts.

Australian batter Travis Head encountered a similar scene during Pakistan’s first innings. He was positioned at the boundary and was freeing his arms casually. His warm-up caught the attention of a section of the MCG crowd who went on to accompany Head in the impromptu exercise. Cricket Australia dropped the clip of X, with a caption reading, “Travis Head getting the crowd roaring.”

After enduring much humiliation in the opening Test, Pakistan look promising to bounce back in the three-match series. Thanks to an exceptional performance from their pacers, Pakistan bundled out Australia for 262 runs in their second innings. The visitors need to chase a target of 317 runs to secure the Boxing Day Test. At the time of writing, Pakistan was batting at 146 runs, losing 4 wickets.
