Video Of Moviegoers Resting Feet On Front Seats Upsets Internet: 'No Moral Compass Or Ethics'
The viral video captures several individuals resting their feet on the front seats in a PVR multiplex.

Watching films at cinema theatres is an out-of-this-world experience for movie enthusiasts, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in cinematic journeys. However, this experience can be marred by inconsiderate behaviour from fellow moviegoers, which disrupts the enjoyment for everyone. Recently, a man expressed frustration over audience members reclining in a multiplex with their feet resting on the headrests of seats in front of them.

Ashwith Harshavardhan shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) which showed several people resting their feet on the front seats in a PVR multiplex. As he pans his camera across the theatre, the extent of this behaviour is evident. Sharing the video, he wrote, “Watching a film with a bunch of ILLITERATES+SCUMBAGS+HOPELESS AS*****. @_PVRCinemas @PicturesPVR hire a person and put an end to these behaviour.”

Since being posted online, the video has created quite a buzz, accumulating over 2 lakh views. Many social media users shared their frustration in the comments section.

One user remarked, “Indians have no moral compass or ethics!! It is always mighty vs innocent and not good vs evil!!”

Another joked, “Those people be like why should only gold class have all the fun.”

Offering a practical solution, another one commented, “If you are so disturbed by this manager room will be within 100m distance from you, why can’t u just go and complain and solve it, it will be easier than taking a video and tagging pvr for a solution.”

Another user shared, “If it’s a recliner, u wouldn’t have an issue. If it’s an empty seat in front, people want to relax. I wouldn’t do it personally, but I am not offended. It’s ok to relax & enjoy film.”

Someone pointed out, “This is bad behaviour, I accept but what you should also consider is the rigidity of seats of PVR. Cinepolis has a better comfortable seating.”

One person added, “This is very regular in Chennai at least. I find the audiences here to be some of the most disrespectful in theatres. Putting feet up, talking on the phone, playing YouTube videos loudly for annoying kids while the movie is running.”

Last week, Kamal Haasan’s film Indian was re-released in Chennai theatres in anticipation of its sequel, Indian 2. Fans enthusiastically celebrated the return of the movie to the big screen.

Videos surfaced showing fans setting off firecrackers inside Kamala Cinemas during a special screening of the film in Chennai, as reported by the media.
