Rather, around the four-second mark, eagle-eyed viewers noticed a shadowy figure lurking on the staircase in the background. As the Canadian TikToker swirled and twirled, the figure seemed to momentarily peek around the corner, sending shivers down the spines of those watching.
Comments flooded in, ranging from sheer terror to sceptical disbelief. “Did ya’ll see that?? In the background??" exclaimed one user, while another questioned the authenticity of the spectacle, “Ok so the fact that he had to post ‘I’m home alone’ and doing this oldish dance really makes me feel like it’s all staged."
Another user wrote, “The AMOUNT OF ANXIETY I have from his video. That’s someone literally poking their head TO LOOK AT YOU."

In a candid interview with UNILAD, he shed light on the spine-tingling episode that had the internet abuzz. Initially fearing the figure lurking in the shadows could be an unwelcome visitor, he and his family conducted a thorough sweep of the premises, only to find no trace of anyone hiding.
“There’s really nowhere for anyone to hide," he asserted, putting to rest suspicions of a human intruder. But while the prospect of a supernatural presence might send shivers down most spines, Reu remained remarkably unfazed. Having grown up amidst a slew of paranormal encounters, he shrugged off the notion of something otherworldly cohabiting his space.
“The idea of this being something supernatural doesn’t scare me as I’ve had many experiences with the paranormal while living here (which is my whole life)," he explained nonchalantly. “Nothing has presented itself as harmful or malicious, so I’m not worried about it."
