Mysterious 'UFO' Video From 2018 Sparks Hilarious Reactions

Over the last few years, there have been multiple instances of unexplained UFO sightings from across the globe. From the 1997 Phoenix Lights incident to reports of white lights moving in a circular pattern over Canada’s Northwest Territories in 2023, many such incidents remain unexplained to date. And now that the year 2024 has just begun, there is yet another report of an unidentified flying object being spotted hovering over a US military base.

Recently, a video went viral on social media, showing a strange object gliding above the US military’s joint operation base in Iraq, setting social media abuzz.

Originally shared by artist-filmmaker Jeremy Corbell on Instagram, the black-and-white clip has left internet users puzzled as many tried to figure out the identity of the object. Terming it an “incursion”, Corbell who obtained the video recently, said that the sighting was reported in 2018 and was supposedly recorded by the US military camera.

“In 2018, the U.S. military captured footage in Iraq over a sensitive facility. The object was designated as “UAP” by U.S. Intelligence,” the video’s caption read followed by a vivid description of what happened.

“It goes out over a body of water. I’m told, it stops on a dime, descends into the water, stiff into the water. And for 17 minutes, nothin’. And BOOM! This thing comes up out of the water and shoots off at 45 degrees,” eyewitnesses said as quoted by Corbell.

Internet reacts to UFO sighting over US military base

Notably the leaked video comes amid massive reports of UFO sightings from across the world. Curious social media users took to the comment section and shared their views. Some even shared hilarious comments on the video.

A user wrote, “Not trying to be a killjoy, but it kinda looks like a smudge on the camera lens,” while another one wrote, “If the jelly fish is changing temp, then so are these road barriers. It’s adjusting the temp scale to surroundings.”

“Lol it’s not changing heat. Look at the background it also changes at the same time. It’s just a settings on the camera being adjusted. I believe what we’re looking at here is just a small plume of smoke,” another one comment.

While reports of UFO sightings always manage to keep the internet interested, earlier this week, the Miami police also issued a statement after a video of a shootout was circulated with the claim of a 10-foot alien outside a mall.
