Microsoft Outage: Indigo Passenger Receives 'Handwritten' Boarding Pass At Hyderabad Airport
The massive 'bluescreen' Microsoft outage has widely affected airlines across the globe, disrupting operations and flight bookings.

Microsoft’s cloud services are suffering a massive outage across the globe, affecting countries like the US, Australia, India, and more. While users are facing problems with login, other applications and One Drive are also reportedly down. Amidst all of this, the disruption has had a drastic impact on airlines, leading to flight cancellations and delays. Reports of planes being grounded and disrupting flight operations have surfaced from the Delhi and Mumbai airports.

As Microsoft is currently working to address the problem, people in large numbers have taken to social platforms to share their experiences. While many are actually celebrating the unexpected halt in daily operations, some poke fun at the situation. Among them, an X post is going viral on the internet, showing how the disruption has taken airlines to the pre-digital era.

Akshay Kothari shared a picture of his ‘handwritten’ boarding pass on the microblogging platform, leaving everyone amused. “The Microsoft/CrowdStrike outage has taken down most airports in India. I got my first hand-written boarding pass today,” he wrote. The piece of paper had every bit of important flight-related detail written with the use of a pen, instead of the usual printed stuff.

Users were too quick to respond with an array of reactions in the comment section. A user wrote, “Damn I was there. Delhi to Kochi, T2. Chaos and madness.”

Another commented, “Sometimes, the old-school way is still the best way when technology lets us down.”

A user joked, “A handwritten boarding pass sounds like a dream. Hopefully you don’t get a handwritten flight.”

“Today’s the perfect day to celebrate the power of technology! It simplifies our lives and connects us worldwide. Let’s declare it Tech Appreciation Day!” a comment read.

One commented, “A hand-written boarding pass? That’s like a retro throwback to the pre-digital age!”

A section of users shared that they also received their boarding passes after waiting for long hours in lines.

Many other pictures and videos have also surfaced on the internet, giving a glimpse of the chaos at the airports. Indian carriers like Indigo, Akasa Air, Air India Express, and Spicejet have issued statements, informing users that they are all facing technical glitches that have impacted booking and check-in services.

Presently, the cause of the outage is unclear.
