Zomato, known for sharing memes and witty customer interactions, recently found itself in a humorous situation when a customer’s unusual request took an unexpected turn. While Zomato generally ensures accurate services, a customer’s note circulating on the internet has caught social media users’ attention. In the note, the customer had requested the Zomato-affiliated restaurant not to include the bill and strictly avoid any mention of chicken in the package, as non-vegetarian food was not allowed at their house.
However, it appears that the restaurant misunderstood the message and did exactly the opposite, which is now leaving everyone in splits.
Before placing an order, the Deepinder Goyal led organisation allows customers to customize their orders or specify their needs with personalized messages. Taking advantage of the feature, a customer wrote, “Bill mat bhejna sath mein aur na hi kahi par Chicken mention karna, allowed nahi hai ghar par please. Send cutlery. (Do not send the bill and also, please do not mention chicken anywhere, it’s not allowed at home).”
Although the specific order details are unknown, the restaurant did the opposite of the customer’s request by sending the bill, which even included the message.

Although the consequences faced by the customer after receiving the order with the bill and message remain unknown, the situation must certainly have been hilarious. The humorous incident, shared on X, has since gone viral and garnered over 37,000 views.
Zomato, famous for sharing humorous memes, earlier joined ‘Ek machhali, Paani mein gayi, Chappak’ trend. While the game is played among a group, seizing the opportunity, Zomato used the line while interacting with a customer. In February, they shared a screenshot of an exchange with a customer who ordered a single fish fry. Zomato’s customer service, known for its wit, couldn’t resist joining the trend and responded with ‘Paani mein gayi,’ when the customer inquired about their order.
As per the post, when a customer reached out to Zomato, asking for their help with their fish fry order. Taking part in the popular trend, the delivery giant responded with, “Paani mein gayi.” The conversation didn’t end there, as the customer humorously concluded the chat with, “Chappak.”
