A video has surfaced on the internet, which will leave your heart racing and give you goosebumps. If you are afraid of heights, you might want to give this viral video a skip.

A video was posted on Instagram which showed a person climbing the sky ladder. The video shows some breathtaking views of the deep valley, high and majestic mountains and the lush green making it a unique scene. The internet was in awe and shock. One user wondered, “Has anyone ever fallen off these stairs?” Another user commented, “I am in my bed and feel dizzy and panicked just by seeing this.” Another comment read, “Even if you give me ten million dollars, no one can get me there.” One seemingly enthusiastic social media user wrote, “I want to take the stairway to heaven.”

The ladder is 43-metre long and hangs 700 metres off the ground. It is made of steel cables. The highlight of this climb is the tour of the Donnerkogel, which is one of the summits of the Gosaukamm Range in Austria’s Salzkammergut area. This iconic ladder is built into a mountain’s rock face with fixtures like metal rungs and a secured cable. This allows climbers, even amateur ones, to get a once-in-a-lifetime experience and check the unobstructed and panoramic view. There are other ways to climb the summit as well – like via a cable car, which carries visitors up the slope to a point and trails for hikers who climb from the base to the summit.
