Man Buys 5 iPhone 16 Pro Max For Wife And Kids: 'It Only Took Me Half An Hour'

The frenzy around Apple’s latest iPhone 16 series has taken India by storm, with eager buyers lining up to get their hands on the new device. As sales kicked off at 8 AM on Friday, September 20, customers were already waiting for their pre-booked iPhones nearly a full day in advance. But one customer from Maharashtra made headlines for his extravagant purchase at the Apple BKC store in Mumbai.

In a video shared by ANI, the man proudly flaunted not one, not two, but five brand-new iPhone 16 Pro Max units. When asked about his decision, he said, “I bought five iPhones for my wife and kids.” The man also revealed that he didn’t wait in queue like most others. Having pre-booked the phones, he shared that the store’s service was impeccable. “They handed me the phones in just half an hour,” he said. Out of five iPhones he purchased, four are 128 GB models, while one is a 512 GB version. The man also enthusiastically posed for the camera, displaying the iPhones he had purchased.

Another enthusiastic customer, Ujjwal Shah, took his excitement for the iPhone 16 to the next level by standing in line for a staggering 21 hours. Determined to be one of the first to own the new device, Ujjwal arrived at the Apple BKC Store in Mumbai at 11 AM the previous day and patiently waited until doors opened the next day.

“I have been standing in the queue for the last 21 hours. I have been here since 11 AM yesterday and I will be the first one to enter the store today at 8 AM. I am very excited today…The atmosphere in Mumbai for this phone is absolutely new…Last year, I stood in the queue for 17 hours,” Shah told ANI.

The iPhone 16 series offers four distinct models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. In India, the pricing starts at Rs 79,900 for the base iPhone 16, while iPhone 16 Plus is priced at Rs 89,900. The more advanced iPhone 16 Pro starts at Rs 1,19,900, and the premium iPhone 16 Pro Max is available for Rs 1,44,900. Apple is also giving customers the chance to save through its Trade-In program, which offers discounts between Rs 4,000 and Rs 67,500 when exchanging older devices for a new iPhone 16.
