French Musician Jean-Michel Jarre Is The World's First Passenger To Take Off In AirCar
Jean-Michel Jarre became the first passenger to take off on KleinVision's flying car in a recent test drive.

Creating history, a flying car company successfully executed the inaugural car flight with none other than the legendary Jean-Michel Jarre as the passenger. The French electronic musician enjoyed the unique ride, soaring through the Slovakian skies in KleinVision’s AirCar, leaving onlookers amazed. Known for his laser show concerts, which are watched by millions across the globe, Jarre has always been a frontrunner in the electronic and new-age genres of music. The same is equally evident in his support for future technology, as he immediately grabbed the opportunity to complete two flights in the flying car.

Sharing a video of his amazing experience of being the first person to board the flying car, Jarre wrote a detailed note on Instagram and it was an honourable moment for him. He further revealed that the exhilarating experience served as the inspiration behind his upcoming concert, Bridge From the Future.

“It was an honour and an amazing experience to be the first passenger in the flying AirCar by @kleinvision_official! Technology we once dreamed of in the future is becoming a reality. This invention was born in Slovakia, in the heart of Europe. The place where countless revolutions in arts, culture, and technology have taken place, paving the way for modern innovation,” he wrote.

His fans also seemed excited, as they called him “lucky” to have had such an extraordinary experience.

The test drive was carried out at the Piestany International Airport, where Jarre saw the transition of the vehicle from a sports car to an aircraft. It has been invented as well as piloted by Professor Stefan Klein.

Speaking to Sky News, he said, “One second you speak to the driver, and next, you are up there in the air. An amazing experience.”

The company has released a captivating video showcasing the revolutionary moment, depicting a sleek and winged sports car speeding down the runway on four wheels before taking flight into the sky. Remarkably, the AirCar received flight approval in 2022 following a string of successful takeoffs and landings trials. Prior to this milestone, it made history in 2021 as the first flying car to complete an intercity flight.

Running on a 1.6-liter BMW engine, KleinVision co-founder Anton Zajac hopes to make it run on batteries to keep up with the technology. He expects the revolutionary vehicle to be market-ready in a year.
