A Dallas-based flight attendant named Cher Killough has interesting news for all the drink lovers. As per the New York Post, Cher has talked about the king and queen’s behaviour she loves to see on flight. This courteous behaviour might earn the customer a free drink from the crew. In a Tiktok video, she talked about gestures that seem respectful to the crew members. Cher said that she appreciates it when the passengers properly store their luggage and check the lavatory signs before trying to enter the bathroom. She also praises the passengers who read the safety information card before take-off.
Cher, after her five years of experience, described the correct way of storing the luggage in the video. She said the number 1 step is knowing how to put the bag into the overhead bin. Overhead Bins are storage compartments located above passenger seats in an aircraft cabin. According to her, they always go wheels in first or wheels in last unless you’re on a tiny aeroplane, as she showed pics of overhead bins while noting there are exceptions to these rules. “If the bins are like this, where the flight attendant has to pull it down to close it, your bag is going to lay flat. … If the bin is like this, where the flight attendant has to push it up to close it, your bags are going to go on their side like this.”
She then talked about the second respectful gesture in detail. According to her, the passengers should check that the seatbelt sign is off and the lavatory light is green before trying to enter the plane’s bathroom. The flight attendant said that if the seatbelt sign is off, the passengers have to check whether the light above is green or not. The green light indicates go and the red means occupied.
The third and last concerning Cher the most is reading the safety information card. Cher said that pulling out the information card makes her feel validated even if it is just for a showoff. According to her, very few people do it and that is supreme king and queen energy.
