A similar incident happened in Queensland, Australia, where a young boy went for a morning stroll in the park near his house. But what he found there took everyone by surprise. As per reports, the young boy found an expensive sapphire stone. Now, this news has been going viral on social media.

According to reports, a seven-year-old boy named Riley Betteridge, who is a resident of Queensland, Australia, took everyone by surprise when he found a sapphire while playing in a park. Reportedly, Riley had gone to play as usual in the park, which is located 200 metres from his home. There, he found a shining stone. Initially, he thought that it was a pearl and brought it home. Then, his parents, Matt and Amber Betteridge, took it to a jeweller, who revealed that it was a 14.5-carat sapphire.

As per reports, its price in the market is around $10,000, i.e., approximately Rs 8.33 lakh. In the video going viral on TikTok, Riley is shown in his school uniform. He’s running around excitedly to show the rare stone to his father, Matt. Both Matt and Amber have a business of their own in Queensland.

Matt Betteridge revealed that his son, Riley, has been collecting sapphires since he was just 3 years old. He added that earlier as well, he had found that sapphire that was buried deep into the soil and was worth around $2,000, i.e., Rs 1.66 lakh. But this was the most precious stone he had found so far. Peterson, who carves gems, revealed that the sapphire that Riley has is amazing and precious. He added that there are no internal cuts in the stone, and it could easily cost around $10,000 (Rs 8.33 lakh).
