Remember Bhavya Gandhi, who played Tapu in the sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah? He is now returning in a new avatar. Reportedly, the actor will feature in Pushpa Impossible, but to fans’ surprise, he will be seen essaying a negative role.
According to the Times Now report, Bhavya’s role will be complex as he is a psychotic person who wants to destroy Pushpa and her family. It also promises a departure from the innocent Tapu that you have seen on screen, offering the actor an opportunity to prove his versatility with his acting skills.
In an exclusive chat with India Forums, Bhavya confirmed his entry into the show. He said, “I’m thrilled to be part of the show. It’s a very different character – a psychotic villain who enters Pushpa’s life seeking revenge.” When asked to comment on his return to the television, he said, “TV is my comfort zone. I’ve always loved being a part of it.”
Reflecting on his future endeavours, Bhavya revealed that he has a film in his kitty. For the uninformed, Bhavya made his film debut in 2017 with Pappa Tamne Nahi Samjaay.
Apart from the debut project, he also won hearts with his appearance in shows like Bau Na Vichar and Baap Kamaal Dikro Dhamaal. He also appeared in the show, Shaadi Ke Siyape where he played the role of Nanku. However, he devoted the maximum time to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah wherein he essayed the role of Tipendra Jethalal Gada from 2008 to 2017. Tipendra is the son of Dilip Joshi and Disha Vakani, who played Jethalal Gada and Dayaben in the show. Showcasing his acting prowess in the show, the actor won several awards and critical acclaim.
The lead cast of the show features Karuna Pandey, Naveen Pandita, Darshan Gurjar, Garima Parihar, Deshna Dugad, Jayesh Barbhaya and Bhakti Rathod among others in pivotal roles. Produced by Jamnadas Majethia, the show premiered on Sony SAB on June 6, 2022. Since then, it has been impressing viewers with its engaging plot.
