You're Feeling Betrayed: Honor Teases Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Buyers With A Cheeky Apology
Honor has launched its new foldable device that is claims is thinner than other models in the market for which it has apologised to those who bought Samsung's new Fold 6

Ahead of the launch of the Honor Magic V3, the Chinese brand has issued the world’s smallest apology to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 users. The Honor Magic V3 is claimed to be the world’s thinnest inward-foldable smartphone. The 166-word apology recognises the possible disappointment that Samsung users may experience for purchasing a bigger and heavier foldable prior.

That’s not all, the most intriguing part about this apology is that the company has collaborated with UK-based micro-artist Graham Short to engrave the content into the left bezel of the Magic V3 device. It took him 90 hours to carve the apology by hand and is readable only under a microscope, which tells you the size of the text.

Honor Says Sorry To Samsung Fold Z Buyers: Full Letter

The apology reads, “Dear Samsung Galaxy Z Fold owners, we’re sorry. We understand you were pleased to get a phone that folds in half and fits in your pocket, awkwardly. You were promised the future—a technological marvel, a world of limitless multitasking and performance. And now, you’re probably looking at the new HONOR Magic V3 and feeling a little… betrayed. Size does matter, and we understand your pain. Like being tipped for a gold medal and then coming last in the race, the knowledge that a thinner, lighter, and more durable foldable exists is enough to make everyone doubt their decision.”

“We get it. You were an early adopter, a trailblazer who fearlessly ventured into the unknown zone of foldable screens with uncertain durability. You deserve better. You deserve a gold medal. In all seriousness, we at HONOR are dedicated to pushing the limits of technology and providing you with the greatest possible foldable experience. We’re just saying… it’s okay to feel let down. We’d feel the same way,” it added.

Meanwhile, the company is set to unveil the Magic V3 on September 5 at their IFA 2024 event in Berlin. Reportedly, the Magic V3 weighs 224 grams and is 9.2 millimeters thin when folded, while its rival, the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 6 is roughly 239 grams and 11.93 mm when folded. Samsung has not made a rebuttal on this ad and it is unlikely the brand is likely to comment on the subject.
