Ender Pearls are a useful item which allows you to teleport wherever it's thrown, plus it's used to create the helpful Eye of Ender (which helps you find strongholds and activate End Portals). Ways to Obtain

Mob loot When defeating an [Safely-Kill-an-Enderman-in-Minecraft|enderman]], there's a 50% chance it will drop one Ender Pearl. For each level of Looting that you have, the drop amount increases by one, to a maximum of four Ender Pearls with Looting III.

Chest loot The altar chest in a stronghold has a 23% chance of containing an Ender Pearl in Java Edition, and a 22.4% chance in Bedrock Edition. Additionally, two Ender Pearls can always be found in a trapped chest located in the fake end portal room of woodland mansions.

Trading Expert-level cleric villagers have a 2/3 chance to sell an Ender Pearl for five emeralds in Java Edition. In Bedrock Edition, they will sell just one Ender Pearl for five emeralds.

Bartering When given a gold ingot, Piglins have a 4.27% chance to barter three to four Ender Pearls.

Ender Pearl Uses

Teleportation When a user throws an Ender Pearl, they will be teleported wherever the pearl lands. The user will take two and a half hearts of fall damage when they land, unless they're wearing armor enchanted with Protection and/or Feather Falling. The pearl can travel 30-42 blocks upwards or 54-64 blocks forward, depending on the user's velocity when they throw the pearl. The user must also throw the Ender Pearl at about a 35 degree angle to maximize the distance it can travel. Ender Pearls have a cooldown of one second. Ender Pearls can be thrown into End Gateways to get to the outer parts of the End. Ender Pearls can be thrown into an exit portal to return to the spawn point. Bubble columns affect Ender Pearls, and can be used to store them indefinitely.

Crafting Combining one Blaze Powder with an Ender Pearl will create an Eye of Ender, which is used to locate strongholds and activate their End Portals.

Spawning endermites There is a 10% chance an Ender Pearl will spawn an endermite. The endermite's location varies: in Java Edition, the endermite will spawn at the player's position; in Bedrock Edition, the endermite will spawn where the pearl lands.

Achievements

Beam Me Up Users can get the Beam Me Up achievement by throwing any one Ender Pearl 100 blocks in any direction.

Advancements

Remote Gateway One of the ways to get the Remote Gateway advancement is to throw an Ender Pearl through an End Gateway. You can also fly or walk into the End Gateway to get this advancement.

Bullseye To get the Bullseye advancement, you must hit a Target block from 30 blocks away with a projectile. Ender Pearls count as a projectile for this advancement.
