South Korean tech giant Samsung has launched four new smartphones from its Galaxy A and Galaxy J series – Galaxy A6+, Galaxy A6, Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8 in India. All four smartphones come with Samsung’s ‘Infinity Display’ which is flaunted on the company’s flagship Galaxy S9 series. Samsung Galaxy A6+ is the most expensive of the lot with a price tag of Rs 24,990. Galaxy A6, on the other hand, comes in two variants with the base model (4GB RAM+32GB) priced at Rs 21,990. The top model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage retails at Rs 22,990. Both handsets will go on sale in the country starting May 22 and will be available only via Paytm Mall, Samsung India E-Store, and Amazon India online and via Samsung retail stores offline. Galaxy J6 also comes in two storage models starting at Rs 13,990 for the base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. As for the model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, it is priced at Rs 16,490 and Galaxy J8 will retail at Rs 18,990. Consumers buying Galaxy J8 and J6 through ICICI Bank credit and debit cards or Paytm will get an additional cashback of Rs 1,500 as part of the launch offers.
Samsung Galaxy A6+ Specifications:
The Galaxy A6+ come as a ramped up version of the Galaxy A6 with better firepower and a larger display. The Galaxy A6+ features spoocta-corech FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 2220x1080 pixels resolution and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core 1.6 GHz processor and come with a 4GB RAM and 32GB storage which will be expandable up to 400GB. The smartphone draws its juice from a 3500 mAH battery.
As for its cameras, the Galaxy A6+ sport a dual camera setup at the back with a 16-megapixel (f/1.7) primary and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an aperture of f/1.9. At the front, the Galaxy A6+ will come with a 24-megapixel camera.
Samsung Galaxy A6 Specifications:
As for its specifications, the mid-range Galaxy smartphone comes with a 5.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with 1480x720 pixels resolution and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core 1.8 GHz processor and will carry a 3GB RAM coupled to a 32GB internal storage, which is further expandable up to 256GB. The device is backed by a 3000 mAh battery.
On the optics front, the Galaxy A6 sports a 16-megapixel camera on both the front as well as the back with a f/1.7 aperture.
Samsung Galaxy J6:
Galaxy J6 features a 5.6-inch HD+ AMOLED Infinity display with a 1480x720 pixels resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Exynos 7870 SoC and come in several RAM options including a 2GB, 3GB and a 4GB RAM. Similarly, the smartphone comes in two storage variants including a 32GB options and a 64GB variant. The device is backed by a 3000 mAh battery and come with dual SIM support. The optics on the Galaxy J6 come with a 13-megapixel camera at the back and an 8-megapixel camera at the front for selfies.
Samsung Galaxy J8:
Galaxy J8 come with the same set of specifications as Galaxy 6+ except for one camera difference. Galaxy J8 sports a 16-megapixel sensor. At the rear, the smartphone offers a dual-camera setup comprising of a 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. The smartphones feature a 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display. Under the hood runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Also on offer is a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 256GB. Galaxy A6+ and Galaxy J8 are fuelled by a 3,500mAh battery.
