"Ola Money," the Indian online taxi aggregator's mobile wallet, is now a standalone app.
Uber's rival in India, Ola, announced that its mobile wallet, Ola Money, is now available as a standalone app. It is currently only available on Android, but iOS is in the works.
The app will enable users to recharge mobile phones, transfer money and make cashless payments to several other brands, thanks to Ola's partnership with OYO Rooms, Saavn, Lenskart, Zo Rooms and TinyOwl, among others.
Ola currently works across 102 cities, with 250,000 cabs and 75,000 other forms of transportation. The company claims that 40 million people online and offline will be able to use the Ola Money app.
