"See you on the 7th," reads the invitation circulated to members of the press, which is to be held on September 7 at 10am in San Francisco.
Pre-release rumours have associated the iPhone 7 with an all-in-one Lighting connector that can accept headphones, charging, and connection cables, while a new home button and better waterproofing, with a dual lens camera expected on a larger iPhone 7 Plus.
A revised Apple Watch is also thought to be on the keynote schedule, while Apple Insider anticipates a new range of personal computers announcement later in the year.
It is expected that the pre-orders will start from September 9 with first shipping beginning September 16. The Indian debut of the iPhone 7 is likely to take place on October 10.(With inputs from AFP-Relax News)
