Actress Niharika Konidela ventured into production after launching Pink Elephant Pictures in 2015. She recently garnered attention after highlighting the possibility of a second marriage. She was attending the promotions of her production house-backed short film, Saagu. It was released on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on March 4. It is also available on various other popular platforms such as Hungama, Sony LIV, Mx Player, Zesan, Vooid and 1+ TV. Saagu is directed by Dr Vinay Ratnam. The short film features Vamsi Thummala and Harika Balla in the lead roles. The film explores a love story between the leads, while overcoming societal biases and discrimination. With an intent to promote such concept-based films, Niharika Konidela is currently busy giving several interviews on different media platforms. During an interview with the Mahaa Max YouTube channel, she spoke about her plans for a second marriage.
After Niharika Konidela admitted that she loves playing with children, the anchor posed a question about her possible second marriage. To this, she said that she does want to have kids, but that won’t be the only reason for her getting married. She also prioritises love in her life and said that she doesn’t have any negative impression of love in her life. Niharika Konidela announced her divorce last year from husband Chaitanya Jonnalagadda after three years of marriage.
Niharika Konidela also said: “If a relationship doesn’t work out, there are many reasons behind it. Who breaks up for just one reason?.” She said that it’s stupid to think that love can’t happen again after divorce.
“So I will get married hopefully. But not soon,” added Niharika Konidela. While asked about the choice of love marriage or arranged marriage for her second wedding, she said that she is currently focusing on work and avoids spending time thinking about these things. She also assured that if someone good comes by then she can opt for a love marriage.
