Anupama Parameswaran has given some unforgettable performances in many South Indian films like A Aa and Kodi. In the upcoming film Tillu Square which releases on March 29, the sequel to DJ Tillu, Anupama Parameswaran has taken her glamour to the next level. She plays the character Lily in this sequel, and during the launch of the song Oh My Lily, she faced questions about her bold character choices and the reasons for adopting such an ultra-glamorous persona. “At the age of 19, I acted in films like A Aa and Premam. Now I am 29, so I have to explore different characters,” she said.
“Even when I play similar roles, both journalists and the public ask me whether I should stick to the same kind of roles. When I take roles like Lily, you again ask why I decided to do them. What should I do? Just stay at home?” She countered. Anupama Parameswaran further shared that she is always excited to experiment and take on different roles.
The first posters and teasers featuring Anupama Parameswaran in Tillu Square received mixed responses. Some fans were surprised to see her playing a bold role with several kissing scenes, marking a change from her previous characters.
Anupama Parameswaran’s acting journey started with her debut in the Malayalam film Premam in 2015, which turned out to be a classic hit. Since then, she has contributed to several projects including A Aa, Sathamanam Bhavati, Hello Guru Prema Kosame, Kurup and others. Her role in Karthikeya 2 moved her from supporting roles to recognition as a leading heroine by many producers. In 2022, her performances in 18 Pages and Butterfly were also well received and received positive feedback for her work.
