Actress Keerthy Suresh has drawn critical acclaim for playing diverse and nuanced characters in films like Mahanati and Saani Kaayidham. She is now eagerly anticipating the release of her upcoming film Raghuthatha, written and directed by Suman Kumar. Hombale Films unveiled the teaser of this movie on January 12 and that has garnered more than 8,00,000 views. The teaser gives a synopsis of Kayalvizhi’s (Keerthy Suresh) life, who possesses the courage to fight for her rights. Kayalvizhi also speaks out against the forced imposition of Hindi, which is evident in the scene of her army training. She requests her army in charge to say the instructions in Tamil as she can’t understand other languages. Kayalvizhi even goes on to reject the promotion in her job because she doesn’t want to attempt the exam in Hindi. Raghuthatha is currently in the post-production stage.
Social media users appreciated the teaser, especially the opening sequence. The best part of the trailer is that the makers have shed light on issues like Hindi imposition in a humorous manner. Raghuthatha boasts of a stellar star cast starring MS Bhaskar, Ravindra Vijay, Rajeev Ravindranathan, and others. The technical crew of the film includes cinematographer Yamini Yagnamurthy and music director Sean Roldan. TS Suresh is in charge of the film’s editing.
Keerthy’s impactful presence in this cinema extends beyond Raghuthatha. She has her share of phenomenal films like Nenu Sailaja, Vaashi, and Penguin. Keerthy has amassed a massive fan base in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films as well. She delivered her best, even when there was less screen time for her in films like Idhu Enna Maayam, directed by AL Vijay. Starring Vikram Prabhu as the male lead, this film is currently streaming on Sun NXT.
Keerthy Suresh is now at the pinnacle of her career and talked about this aspect in an interview recently with the Deccan Chronicle. “I am so proud and happy; on the first day of my first film, I never imagined I’d come this far, but it’s been a journey full of learning and enrichment," Keerthy says. “I am ambitious now and want to do more work. I feel I have just started."
