Pushpa 2 Composer DSP Emotional After Ilaiyaraaja Visits Him on His Birthday: 'Dream Come True'

Pushpa 2 music director Devi Sri Prasad was in for the surprise when Ilaiyaraaja visited him at his studio on his birthday. The ace composer took to X and Instagram to confess that he was emotional as his dream to meet Ilaiyaraaja came true. He shared photos from their meet. In the photos, Ilaiyaraaja was seen posing with DSP, playing the piano in his studio and chatting with the musician. Devi Sri Prasad shared the post along with a long letter expressing his happiness over the milestone moment.

“My LIFETIME DREAM COMES TRUE. As a little Kid, even before I knew what MUSIC was all about, this MAESTRO ISAIGNANI ILAYARAJA SIR’s MUSIC cast a MAGICAL SPELL on me.. I grew up with his Music always around me, even when I was studying for my Exams. So inseparable I was , I’m and I will be, from his Music.. Which instilled in me the Strongest Desire and Determination to become a MUSIC COMPOSER,” he said.

“As I became a Music Composer, and when I built my STUDIO, I installed a HUGE PICTURE of ILAYARAJA SIR.. and my BIGGEST & a LIFETIME DREAM was that ILAYARAJA SIR should visit my STUDIO one day.. and I should take a Photo with him standing next to the PICTURE of His. And as the UNIVERSE always conspires to make our most Genuine Desires & Love come True, Finally this DREAM of mine came TRUE.. Especially on the Birthday of My GURU. Sri Mandolin U Shrinivas Anna..???? What more can I ask for..” an emotional DSP added.

Devi Sri Prasad, best known as Rockstar DSP, added, “It was one of the Most Emotional moments of my LIFE.. Thank You my Dearest GOD of MUSIC, Isaignani ILAYARAJA SIR, For bringing ur Divine Presence into my STUDIO and Blessing ME & my TEAM.. Thank You for always Inspiring & Teaching Us Sir Love U for Eternity Dearest RAJA SIR.”

Devi Sri Prasad has become a household name after composing some of the biggest hits in the past decade. Last year, he received the National Award for his work in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise.

On the work front, Devi Sri Prasad will be a part of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. He is also reportedly a part of Suriya’s Kanguva.
