Karthi And Mari Selvaraj To Collaborate For Their Next

Mari Selvaraj is currently occupied with the filming of his project DV03, featuring Dhruv Vikram in the lead role. Following the completion of DV03, which is a sports drama based on the life of former Tamil Nadu kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan, Mari Selvaraj is expected to shift his focus to a film with Karthi. DV03 revolves around the biopic of Manathi Ganesan, who has been honoured with the Arjuna Award. Dhruv Vikram, portraying the former kabaddi player, has reportedly undergone rigorous training to authentically portray the character. The shooting for this sports drama is slated to commence on March 15.

It was widely reported after the shooting of DV03, Mari Selvaraj would direct Superstar Rajinikanth in the actor’s 172nd film. However, from the looks of it, the film with Karthi will now take prominence according to the latest reports.

The upcoming collaboration between Karthi and Mari Selvaraj, set to go on floors in 2025, has been revealed by Prince Pictures, with the production house recently extending birthday wishes to the director. According to a source close to the production house, the film is scheduled to be officially announced next year, with shooting commencing in 2025 and the release planned for the same year. While both Karthi and Mari Selvaraj have committed to the project, details about the remaining cast and crew are yet to be disclosed.

Despite an underwhelming experience last year with the unsuccessful film Japan, Karthi’s upcoming projects seem promising. The actor has signed on for intriguing projects, including Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi 2 and director PS Mithran’s Sardar 2. With the addition of the new Mari Selvaraj project, Karthi’s schedule for the next year appears packed.

Fans are eagerly anticipating back-to-back releases from Karthi, given his diverse film lineup. The actor recently shared at an event that he will commence shooting for Kaithi 2 in 2025.
