Arya, renowned for his versatility in Tamil cinema, has delighted audiences with stellar performances in films like Magamuni and Sarpatta Parambarai. Recently, the Sarpatta Parambarai actor made waves in the media after charming family photographs surfaced on social media, showcasing moments shared with his father, Umar Cethirakath, his mother Jameela Cethirakath, and siblings. Notably, Arya’s brother Sathya, also an actor, has made notable appearances in films such as Puthagam and Amara Kaaviyam.
Adding to Arya’s familial bliss is his wife, actress Sayyeshaa Saigal, whom he fell in love with during the filming of Ghajinikanth in 2016. Despite a significant age gap of 17 years, Arya and Sayyeshaa exchanged vows on March 12, 2019, in an intimate nikah ceremony at the Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad. Sayyeshaa, radiant in a traditional red and golden embroidered lehenga adorned with exquisite bridal jewellery, embarked on this new chapter at the age of 21, while Arya complemented her attire in a black velvet sherwani with intricate golden detailing.
Two years into their marital journey, the couple welcomed their firstborn, a baby girl named Ariana, in 2021, further enriching their bond. Arya’s close friend and comedian, Sathish, shared insights into the couple’s love story during an interview with the portal Behindwoods. Reflecting on Arya’s steadfast commitment to Sayyeshaa amidst playful teasing on set, Sathish remarked, “Not knowing how serious Arya was about her, we used to tease him thinking this is one of his usual, healthy flirtations. However, Thalaivar already sketched potutaru (he has already planned on his forever with her).”
On the professional front, Arya’s latest venture was in the film Saindhav, written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Starring alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shraddha Srinath, and Venkatesh Daggubati, the film received mixed to poor reviews from audiences. Critics noted that while Saindhav boasted a promising concept, its execution fell flat, failing to captivate audiences effectively.
