'World Looking Towards India As Vishwamitra': PM Modi Hails Country's Young Talent Pool at NCC Rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hailed India’s ‘Vishwamitra’ policy adding that the power of the Indian passport is only on the rise due to the extensive efforts being taken by the country. Modi was addressing the NCC-PM rally in Delhi’s Cariappa Parade Ground.

“Today the world is looking towards India as ‘Vishwamitra’. The power of Indian passports is increasing. Several countries are looking forward to the talent pool of Indian Youth. I often say that in this Amrit Kaal i.e. in the coming 25 years, the beneficiary of the developed India that we are going to create is not Modi, its biggest beneficiaries are the youth like you. Beneficiaries are students who are currently in school, college,” ANI quoted Modi as saying.

The prime minister also highlighted a host of measures taken by his government for the empowerment of the youth and women and that a developed India will fulfil their dreams.

“You are the architect of a developed India. Women were earlier confined to cultural programmes but his government has opened up various sectors, including all three services, to them and they are making a mark everywhere,” Modi said.

The prime minister also said that more than 400 sarpanches and over 100 women from the Self-help groups are strengthening the spirit of ‘One World, One Family.’

“This year more than 400 Sarpanches of the Vibrant Villages and more than 100 women belonging to various Self-Help Groups from different parts of the country are present here. I welcome all of them. This rally of NCC is continuously strengthening the ‘One World, One Family’ motive,” Modi said during the rally.

“In 2014, NCC cadets from 10 countries participated in this rally. This year, cadets from 24 countries are present here at the rally and I welcome all the young cadets from these 24 countries,” the prime minister added.

Modi also said India now has the third largest start-up ecosystem, having over 1.25 lakh start-ups and more than 100 unicorns. Lakhs of youngsters are getting quality jobs in these firms, he said, asserting that the digital economy will become the new strength and identity of India’s young power.
