Marandi's statement came days after BJP leaders hinted at a possible joining of hands ahead of the upcoming 2014 poll.
New Delhi: Ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha chief Babulal Marandi on Tuesday ruled out a pre-poll alliance with both the Congress and the BJP.
Taking a jibe at Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Marandi said that if he is so popular in the country, then why is the BJP not contesting all Lok Sabha seats alone. Why is the BJP looking for more allies if the party is confident of a Narendra Modi wave in the country, he asked.
Marandi's statement came days after BJP leaders hinted at a possible joining of hands ahead of the upcoming 2014 general elections.
Congress and the BJP both have always neglected Jharkhand and supporting any one of them would never benefit the state, stressed Marandi.
